As regards my qualifications I may be permitted to state that I have been familiar with Shipping all my life, and have been engaged in many shipping cases both at Westminster before the Naval Courts under the Merchant Shipping Acts. I have also acted as Deputy Judge of the City of London County Court in Admiralty both with & without Assessors. I have therefore had some considerable experience of the duties devolving on the Registrar of the Vice Admiralty Court.
